This challenge is a first time for me but I had my mom suggesting I give it a try as it was a really neat technique they were using for this challenge. So I watched the tutorial and thought I would give it a try. I have to say so simple and such a great way to make some really cool cards. I think if I were to do another I would make less of a border with my cardstock for the base layers. Anyhow I attempted two cards and stayed with the same layout that was shown in the tutorial.
This week's Mashup Challenge is:
- Create a project with the "Triple Layer Technique" Tutorial HERE.
- Create a project that's "Floral".
- or Mash it Up! and create a "Floral Triple Layer Project"
So those were my two attempts I did one with the same tones and another with some color to try and add some pop to the card. Overall I was happy with the cards but this is definitely a technique I would like to keep trying until I get one I am extremely happy with.
Supplies used on the first card was cardstock from Michaels, Flowers stamped with stamps from "Eastern blooms" SU, Whisps things stamp from "Priceless" SU, Memento-Toffee crunch, & Rich Cocoa, "Thinking of you" Kinds words stamp set from Verve, Misc twine, button and raspberry chalk ink.
2nd card: Stamps used were from the Priceless stamp set from SU, misc cardstock, twine and button.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having a great day!

Samantha, I am so glad you ventured out and tried this technique, I think you did great! I love how the larger flowers cross over all three layers, it is just beYOUtiful! Thanks for joining us over at the Friday Mashup! ~amy
Samantha, so glad you took the plunge and gave this technique a try! Your cards turned out great! Love the neutral colors you've used with a pop of color in your sentiment and twine. Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup.
